APPROACH

MY PROCESS

Psychotherapy is the practice of deep listening and understanding. At its core, I believe therapy is a special kind of relationship we can have–one like no other. It is a sort of atypical conversation we have through the therapist, so we may reach ourselves. 

 I help my patients to listen to themselves by exploring the conflict and sources of tension they encounter trying to navigate between their internal experience and the outside world. Together, we will work to identify, confront, and better understand those parts of you that are both conscious and unconscious, so you may gain more agency authoring your life. 

My goal in treatment is to provide you with the space, time, comfort, affordability, and safety to begin to have this conversation with yourself so you may enact lasting change in your life.

APPROACH

TREATMENT

The primary goal of treatment is to help my patients discover the meaning behind many of their current thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and how those experiences affect their daily lives. Psychotherapy offers a chance to explore your inner life, as well as the relationships and events that have affected you, so you can find new ways to help you make meaning in your life, deepen your self-awareness, free yourself from fixed patterns of relating, and experience emotional growth and lasting positive change. 

Treatment is a commitment and an ongoing process that takes time, patience, money, and energy. Our meetings are design to be weekly and continue until both parties agree treatment is no longer needed. Sessions are forty-five minutes long and take place at the same time each week.
